To help plan for Windows 10 end of support on October 14, 2025 and simplify the transition to Windows 11, the new Outlook for Windows will be automatically installed on Windows 10 devices as part of the optional January 2025 non-security preview update and the February 2025 security update.
The new icon will appear in the Apps section on the Start menu, alongside classic Outlook, without changing any settings or defaults.

There are several measures in place to help IT administrators manage the migration to new Outlook. For instance, you can remove new Outlook from your organization's devices, block users from connecting to new Outlook, and/or control other capabilities like the connection of personal accounts to new Outlook. What you need to do to prepare:
To prevent the install of new Outlook on your organization's devices as part of this Windows 10 update, add this reg value:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\Orchestrator\UScheduler_Oobe
Then add a REGSZ registry setting, named BlockedOobeUpdaters, with a value of \["MS_Outlook"\].
