(Updated) Microsoft 365 Copilot: Select Microsoft Graph Connectors when writing prompts in BizChat

Microsoft 365 Copilot BizChat will soon allow users to use CIQ to ground prompts with third-party data from Microsoft Graph Connectors. The rollout will start in early July 2025 and complete by early August 2025. No admin action is required, but users should be notified about this change.

Coming soon to Microsoft 365 Copilot Business Chat (BizChat): Users will be able to use CIQ to ground their Copilot prompts with third-party data from their Microsoft Graph Connectors.

Context IQ (CIQ) is a set of AI capabilities from Microsoft that allows users to search for, select, and insert relevant enterprise or personal data directly into their prompts or conversations. This capability helps users to “ground” or anchor their prompts in specific, contextually relevant data, making responses more accurate, specific, and useful.

[When this will happen:]

General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out early July 2025 (previously late June) and expect to complete by early August 2025 (previously early July).

[How this will affect your organization:]

No impact for the tenant admin. End users will see a new Other tab in CIQ to add their third-party data from any MS Graph Connectors that are enabled.

This change will be available by default.

This rollout will happen automatically by the specified date with no admin action required before or after the rollout. Review your current configuration to determine the impact for your organization. You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation.
