(Updated) Microsoft Outlook for iOS and Android: Minimize the compose window to multitask in the Outlook app

Microsoft Outlook for iOS and Android will soon allow users to minimize draft emails and access them from the message list or calendar view. This feature will roll out from early January 2025 to late May 2025. No admin action is required, but users should be informed and documentation updated.

[When this will happen:]

General Availability (Worldwide, GCC, GCC High): We will begin rolling out early January 2025 and expect to complete by late May 2025 (previously late April).

[How this will affect your organization:]

Outlook will help you compose emails more quickly and efficiently by allowing you to minimize your draft emails and quickly access them again from the message list or calendar view. This means that while composing an email you can easily get information you need from your calendar or other emails and easily get back into the draft you are working on without ever having to go to the Draft folder.

To start, select the minimize icon in the upper right corner:
