Microsoft Teams: Enhanced real-time alerting rule management in the Teams admin center

Microsoft Teams will enhance Real-Time Alerting rule management in the Teams admin center by enabling rule duplication, bulk user uploads, and direct rule deletion. Administrators can monitor up to 500 users for In-Progress Meetings and Calls. These features roll out worldwide starting late September 2026, enabled by default.

We're enhancing Real-Time Alerting rule management in the Microsoft Teams admin center to help administrators manage alerting rules more efficiently and at greater scale.

With this update, administrators will be able to:

• Duplicate existing rules to create similar alert configurations without manually recreating them.
• Bulk upload users when creating or editing rules, reducing manual effort when monitoring larger groups of users.
• Delete rules directly from the management experience to simplify rule maintenance and cleanup.

These enhancements are designed to streamline administration of Real-Time Alerting rules and improve operational efficiency.

The feature is enabled by default when it becomes available in your tenant.
