Dynamics 365 Project Operations - Enable time phasing of quote and contract lines

We are announcing the ability to enable time phasing of quotes and contract lines in Dynamics 365 Project Operations. This feature will reach general availability/public preview on September 30, 2026.

How does this affect me?
With this feature, the system automatically updates the correct sales and cost prices in quotes and contracts based on the effective date. The system calculates prices using weighted average prices for both quote line details and contract line details, so pricing calculations are precise and reliable. This automation greatly reduces the manual work needed to track and update prices. It also lowers the risk of errors and discrepancies in pricing.

The feature also lets you keep a detailed audit trail of all changes you make to quotes and contracts. This audit trail provides full transparency and traceability, so you can trust the accuracy and integrity of your pricing information.

You can view exact totals at any point in time, showing all current and historical pricing data. This real-time visibility into totals makes contract management easier and helps ensure that you accurately account for all financial aspects.
