Dynamics 365 Project Operations - Assign task level schedule mode for precise planning

We are announcing the ability to assign task level schedule mode for precise planning in Dynamics 365 Project Operations. This feature will reach general availability on September 30, 2026.

How does this affect me?
This feature provides an experience to change the task schedule mode on the Customizable task details pane. To enable this feature from project parameters, select Enable Customize Task Pane.When enabled through feature control, this functionality enables the user to:

• Set a task level schedule mode on the Customizable task details pane.
• Manage the task level schedule modes.
• Schedule API support.
