We are announcing the ability to improve accuracy and tax compliance for prepayment invoicing in Dynamics 365 Finance. This feature will reach general availability on August 31, 2026.

How does this affect me?
This feature gives the flexibility to derive sales tax and item sales tax group information from sales order lines and creates corresponding prepayment invoice lines. This ensures that tax calculations accurately reflect the nature of the goods and services being billed. It reduces manual intervention and minimizes the risk of tax calculation errors.
