What will happen
The Copilot new tab page is off by default.
When enabled, users will see:
- An updated search box for navigating to websites, searching the web, or sending a query to Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- Enhanced Copilot chat and compose capabilities.
- Suggested actions and work content to help users begin and complete tasks.
- Work cards that may surface organizational content such as files and calendar events.
- A refreshed design, app launcher, pinned quick links, and updated theme settings.
- A Discover feed with curated news and content where supported.
Admins can enable the Copilot new tab page through the Microsoft Edge management service using the CopilotNewTabPageEnabled policy and assign the configuration to all users or selected Microsoft Entra groups.
Depending on organizational policy settings, users may be able to disable the experience after it has been enabled.
Users who are not enabled will continue to see the existing Microsoft Edge new tab page.
