Microsoft is enhancing Microsoft Teams call delegation with new controls that provide greater privacy, transparency, and control during active calls. Delegators will be able to lock active calls to prevent delegate participation and optionally enable warning tones that notify participants whenever a delegate joins or resumes a call. These enhancements help users manage sensitive conversations more effectively while improving awareness during delegated call handling.

What will happen:
- A new Lock an Ongoing Call capability will be available to delegators.
- Delegators can lock an active call to prevent delegates from:
- Resuming a call that has been placed on hold.
- Joining an ongoing active call.
- Delegates will continue to see locked calls in their call history.
- Delegates will be unable to participate in locked calls until the delegator unlocks the call.
- A new optional Warning Tone for Delegate Participation setting will be available.
- When enabled, all call participants will hear an audible notification when a delegate:
- Joins an active call.
- Resumes a held call.
- The feature increases transparency regarding delegate participation in live calls.
- This change will be available by default to users with call delegation configured.
- No existing call delegation workflows are removed.
