Summary

Windows 365 will undergo planned connectivity maintenance from July 21-25, 2026, with no expected downtime. RDP Multipath with redundant TCP transport paths is now generally available, improving session resiliency. Users should run supported Windows App clients to minimize brief reconnections during maintenance.

Details

[Introduction]

To improve performance and reliability, we have scheduled planned maintenance for the Windows 365 service. This maintenance will occur during non-peak hours based on the user's local time zone to help minimize potential impact.

During this period, there will be no service downtime. Users are expected to experience little to no disruption.

We are also announcing that RDP Multipath with redundant TCP transport paths is now generally available for Windows 365 Cloud PCs. This capability improves session resiliency and helps reduce customer impact during connectivity maintenance events.

Historically, we provided notifications for routine TURN maintenance activities because they could result in user reconnections. With the general availability of RDP Multipath with redundant TCP transport paths, customers using supported configurations are expected to experience improved resiliency during these events, significantly reducing the potential impact of routine TURN maintenance activities.

As a result, Windows 365 expects to reduce the need for customer communications related to future routine TURN maintenance events. Customers will continue to be notified when a maintenance activity is expected to have customer impact or requires customer awareness.
