Based on customer feedback, we are updating the user experience in Intune app protection for iOS to deliver a more modern, intuitive interface, streamline workflows, and improve consistency across apps. Starting July 15, 2026, or soon after, users will begin seeing the updated experience for apps that are using iOS SDK v21.7.0 or later.
[How this will affect your organization:]
There is no change to app functionality or app protection policies; this is a user interface (UI) update only.User impact: All users with Intune mobile application management (MAM) protected iOS apps will see a refreshed UI for apps that are using the Intune App SDK for iOS v21.7.0 or later.
Some changes users will see:
- Refreshed design for prompts and screens for app protection policy enforcement.
- Account information displayed in the conditional launch UI screens, such as the PIN screen, to clearly indicate which account the message applies to.
- Full screen messaging instead of pop-up style messages.
- We are expanding support for the “Remove Account” option to all blocking conditional launch screens such as the MAM PIN prompt. When an account is blocked due to policy requirements, users can select “Remove Account” to sign out and remove the associated managed account from the app. This action performs a selective wipe of organizational data for that account, allowing the user to begin a new session.
[What you need to do to prepare:]
No action is required; this is a UI app update only. If applicable, update your documentation or notify your helpdesk about these updates.Change History
