[What and Why]
Planned maintenance for Windows Autopatch tenants is coming soon as part of ongoing security, reliability, and resiliency improvements to the service. You are receiving this message because your tenant might be included in this maintenance.
[Rollout Schedule]
Maintenance will only last about 2 hours. Different devices will undergo this maintenance between late June 2026 and the end of September 2026.
Impact on Your Organization
Some Windows Autopatch tenants might temporarily enter a read-only state while platform maintenance is performed. This will only occur once during the maintenance period.
During the maintenance window:
- Windows Autopatch experiences within the Microsoft Intune admin center might be temporarily read-only for up to approximately 2 hours.
- Admins will not be able to make changes to Windows Autopatch policies or settings during this period.
- Devices will continue operating normally with their existing deployed policies.
- Once maintenance is complete, full access will automatically be restored.
- All of your policies, rings, groups, and everything else in your tenant will continue to work after maintenance.
- The read-only maintenance window will only occur once per tenant.
To minimize disruption, Windows Autopatch will attempt to perform maintenance during non-peak usage hours where possible, particularly for larger tenants.
