Microsoft 365 Copilot: Retirement of Sora video generation experience (Frontier)

The Sora video generation experience in the Frontier program will retire between mid and late June 2026. Users will lose access to create new videos, but existing videos remain available. No action is required; a new video experience is in development and updates will follow.

[What and Why:]

We're retiring the current Sora video generation experience (Sora 2) available through the Frontier program as part of our ongoing investment in next-generation video capabilities. This transition enables improved scalability, performance, and future innovation in Copilot-powered video creation. A new video experience is in development and will be communicated when available.

Retirement begins mid-June 2026 and completes by late June 2026.
