Details

Update: End of support date of this API has been updated.

On June 19, 2026, the Global Discovery Service (GDS) API will have reached end of support.

How does this affect me?
The legacy Global Discovery Service (GDS) REST API endpoints hosted at globaldisco.crm.dynamics.com will no longer be available.

Deprecated GDS endpoints:
  1. https://globaldisco.crm.dynamics.com/api/discovery/v1.0/Instances
  2. https://globaldisco.crm.dynamics.com/api/discovery/v2.0/Instances
  3. https://globaldisco.crm.dynamics.com/api/discovery/v1.0/Instances({id})
This change impacts listing and retrieval of Dataverse organizations. There is no impact to service performance or availability for your environment(s).

What action do I need to take?
  1. Identify any applications or scripts that call globaldisco.crm.dynamics.com REST API endpoints.
  2. Update your applications to use the Power Platform List Environments API instead of the GDS endpoints.
  3. Test your updated integrations against the new endpoints to verify compatibility.
Please note that the Power Platform API uses a different token audience than GDS. You will need to update your authentication to request tokens with the scope (https://api.powerplatform.com/.default) and register the Power Platform API (app ID 8578e004-a5c6-46e7-913e-12f58912df43) as an API permission in your Microsoft Entra app registration. For detailed setup instructions, see Power Platform API Authentication.

To avoid a disruption in service, please migrate to the Power Platform List Environments API before June 19, 2026.

If you need additional assistance, please contact Microsoft Support.
