We are announcing the ability to modernize POS journeys with React and Fluent UI in Dynamics 365 Commerce. This feature will reach general availability on April 14, 2026.

How does this affect me?
This feature modernizes product listing (search results) views, product detail views, and transaction page views in Store Commerce POS by migrating to React and Fluent UI for a consistent, responsive interface across desktop and mobile platforms. This feature supports extensibility points for custom workflows and embedded business logic and is compatible with existing Store Commerce architecture. Key capabilities of this feature include the following:

  • Product listing page (PLP)
    • Refreshed card layouts with color variants and “Add to Sale” buttons to help associates quickly identify options and add items faster.
    • Quick View for product details pages, so essential information is instantly accessible without leaving the page.
    • Expanded/compact view selection so users can choose to see more or fewer cards per row based on their preferences.
    • Low-stock captions on product cards help associates prioritize items and have informed conversations with customers.
    • Discount captions surface directly on product cards for quick upsell cues.
  • Product detail page (PDP)
    • Vertical sticky scroll layout with key actions are always visible.
    • Enhanced imagery, swatches, and dimension/quantity picker following Fluent's latest controls.
    • Accordion sections for Copilot summary and collapsible details to reduce visual clutter and prioritize key actions.
    • Nearby store inventory preview via side drawer for alternative fulfillment.
  • Transaction Page (TP)
    • Inline messaging for available quantity so that associates can communicate savings opportunities to customers at the right time.
    • Message bar for proactive discount surfaces during checkout to help associates upsell effectively and ensure that customers don’t miss promotions.
    • Configurable layout for curated or custom product recommendations helps retailers personalize checkout and drive higher basket value.
