We’re adding a new option that allows users to draw their electronic signature when signing PDFs in eSignature for Microsoft 365. This provides a more natural signing experience and expands the existing typed signature option.

[When this will happen]
General Availability (Worldwide): Rollout will begin in mid-March 2026 and is expected to complete by mid-May 2026.
[How this affects your organization]
Who is affected: All users in Microsoft 365 tenants who use eSignature for Microsoft 365 to sign PDF documents.
What will happen:
- Users will see a new option to draw their signature:

- Drawn signatures will be created with a stylus, touch, or mouse.
- Users can switch between drawn and typed signatures during signing.
- The feature will be enabled by default for all tenants.
- No admin configuration changes or policy updates will be required.

No action is required. Organizations may choose to update internal documentation or training materials to reflect the new signing option.
