Upload transcripts for learning content in Viva Learning

Admins can upload or edit transcripts for learning objects and paths in Viva Learning starting late November 2025. This enhances content discoverability and AI features like personalized recommendations. The feature is enabled by default, with indexing taking up to 24 hours after updates. No action is required before rollout.

We’re introducing a new capability in Viva Learning that allows admins to upload or edit transcripts for learning objects and Learning paths. Transcripts make learning content more discoverable and enhance AI-powered features such as personalized recommendations and microlearning through the Learning agent.

[When this will happen:]

General Availability (Worldwide): Rollout will begin in late November 2025 and is expected to complete by early December 2025.

Who is affected: Admins managing Viva Learning content.

What will happen:

• Admins can upload or edit transcripts in two locations:
• Learning paths: Navigate to Admin → Learning paths → select a Learning path → Add/Edit transcript.



• Individual learning objects: Upload or edit transcripts directly at the Learning object level.



• After a transcript is uploaded or updated, indexing may take up to 24 hours before improvements appear in Learning agent experiences (e.g., recommendations, microlearning cards, quick answers).
• This feature will be enabled by default for all tenants.

• No action is required. These capabilities will become available automatically once rollout is complete.
• If desired, review your Learning paths and learning objects to ensure transcripts are accurate and complete.
