Dynamics 365 Finance – Customizing query timeouts in Electronic Reporting

We are announcing the ability to customize query timeouts in Electronic Reporting (ER) in Dynamics 365 Finance, giving users control over query duration to improve performance and reliability. This feature will reach general availability on December 26, 2025.

How does this affect me?
Admins and users can define custom query timeout values during ER runtime, helping prevent delays and improve responsiveness, especially for large datasets or time-sensitive reports. The default timeout value of 0 will continue to use the system standard timeout if no custom value is set.

What action do I need to take?
