This feature enhances engagement for remote and hybrid meetings by allowing attendees to move freely in a virtual space, participate in spatial audio conversations, and express themselves with avatar reactions. This update aligns with our goal to make virtual collaboration more engaging and inclusive—no additional app downloads required.

Impact on Your Organization
Who is affected:
- Organizers with Teams Premium licenses (or Microsoft Mesh Trial) are enabled to schedule immersive events via Teams Calendar
- Co-organizers and Attendees are enabled to join immersive events without requiring a Teams license.
What will happen:
- Organizers can schedule immersive events directly from the Teams calendar on PC or Mac.
- Immersive events will appear under the “Organization templates” in the "New event" dropdown menu (within Teams Calendar).
- Organizers can customize 3D spaces with images, videos, and 3D models—no coding required.
- Attendees can join via PC, Mac, or Meta Quest headsets and interact using avatars, spatial audio, and reactions, and take selfies to share in the Teams chat.
- Organizers can manage attendees with host controls, moderate interactions, and guide the experience.
- Each immersive event supports up to 300 attendees.
Action Required / Recommendations
- Verify that organizers have a Teams Premium license OR a Microsoft Mesh Trial license.
- Test immersive event creation:
- Go to Teams > Calendar > New Event dropdown > Immersive event.
- Create, customize, and join a test immersive event to validate setup.
