Coming soon for Microsoft Viva Glint: Admins will be able to create new hierarchies at any time and edit existing hierarchies and levels, including the ability to add new bottom levels, directly from the Manage user attributes page. These updates are part of a series of user schema enhancements aimed at providing greater flexibility and customization for managing your Viva Glint setup.
A license for Viva Glint, Microsoft Viva Suite, or Microsoft Viva Workforce Analytics and Employee Feedback is required to use this feature.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 491638.
[When this will happen:]
General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out late June 2025 and we expect to complete by early July 2025.
[How this will affect your organization:]
Before this rollout: Admins can only create hierarchies during the initial schema setup and are unable to edit existing hierarchies or levels.
After this rollout:
- Admins can create new hierarchies at any time.
- Admins can add new bottom levels to existing hierarchies.
To access these capabilities in Viva Glint, go to People > Manage user attributes.
These features will be available by default for admins to configure.
[What you need to do to prepare:]
No action is required before the rollout. Review your current configuration to assess the impact on your organization. Consider notifying relevant users and updating internal documentation as needed.
