New Microsoft Outlook for Windows: Add custom sounds for new mail notifications, mail reactions, and Calendar reminders

New Microsoft Outlook for Windows will soon allow users to add custom sounds for new mail notifications, mail reactions, and Calendar reminders. This feature will roll out from late June to late July 2025 and will be available by default in the settings. No admin action is required.

Coming soon to the new Microsoft Outlook for Windows desktop: In the Notification settings, users will be able to add a custom sound for new mail notifications, mail reactions, and Calendar notifications (also known as Calendar reminders).

General Availability (Worldwide, GCC): We will begin rolling out late June and expect to complete by late July 2025.

The setting will be available by default. Users can find the three new options in Outlook Settings.
