Microsoft Copilot will introduce metadata for Shared agents, including export capabilities and customer-requested fields. The rollout begins in late May 2025 and completes by late June 2025. Admins will manage shared agents via MAC > Integrated apps > Shared agents. Update documentation as needed.

Updated May 13, 2025: We have updated the timeline below. Thank you for your patience.

This feature will introduce metadata for Shared agents. It will include the ability to export all data, ensuring that metadata is included, such as - agent capabilities, data sources that the agent has access to, actions the agent can perform. We will also show customer requested fields such as - Created in (tool the agent was created in - MCS, M365 copilot agent toolkit, Agent builder), Created By (Maker of the agent), Installed By - # users who have installed the agent.

General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out on late May 2025 (previously early May) and expect to complete by late June 2025 (previously late May).

Once available admins will see an improved ability to manage shared agents in their organization. Admins can review the metadata at: MAC > Integrated apps > Shared agents.
