Hardware Upgrade Required for end-of-support Teams Phone Android Devices

Details

As communicated in Message Center Post, MC969451 there were updates to session flows in February 2025. While the latest applications are available for devices currently in certification or limited support, devices that have reached end-of-support will not have access to those applications and as such will no longer work after July 2025.

[When will this happen:]

Devices that are no longer supported or certified will not be eligible for application upgrades (check here for the list of models currently under support and certification). It is crucial to upgrade your hardware to continue receiving the latest updates and maintain service reliability. More specifically these are the phone device models that will be impacted:

  • Poly Trio 8500/8800
  • Yealink T55/55A
  • Yealink T56/T56A
  • Yealink T58/58A
  • Yealink CP960

[How this will affect your organization:]

Devices that are not upgraded will no longer work, more specifically, the device models specified above will be signed out after July 2025. This may impact on your organization's ability to effectively use our services.

[What you need to do to prepare:]

Please review your current hardware inventory and identify any devices that are end-of-support. Plan to upgrade these devices as soon as possible to ensure uninterrupted service. For assistance with selecting compatible hardware or managing the upgrade process, please contact our support team.
